Welcome Back Dear Reader,

There are many things in life that are far too complex or magnanimous to comprehend, space travel, computer programming, the vast difference between ‘should’ and ‘shall’ in the English language, but I would like to discuss one of my favorite topics on the entire planet, Serial Killers.  Specifically, Jeffrey Dahmer.  Anyone who claims to understand the motivating factors behind a serial killers’ motives and/or ‘hobby’ is either a liar or…well…a serial killer themselves.  Serial killers have been around since the beginning of time, and they will continue to thrive on this planet until the end of time.  This post is going to specifically focus on Jeffrey Dahmer, as he was able to meet the requirements of the ‘Serial’ part of Serial Killer as defined by The Oxford Dictionary, “a person who commits a series of murders, often with no apparent motive and typically following a characteristic, predictable behavior pattern”.  The word ‘series’ in the definition provided holds the meaning of ‘two or more’ people, they must be confirmed kills, not suggested, or theorized.  These will be verified kills and only verified kills.

Serial Killers are a special breed of human being.  They are able to disconnect from morality, place themselves aside from all others and make their killings more of a game than the actual taking of human lives.  There is a distinction that must be made, actually a few, the first one being, murder.  There are prisons all around the world filled with murderers, someone that killed someone else, that is murder (manslaughter, murder, accidental or purposeful).  There are also mass killers, these folks go on a rampage, of sorts, and attempt to end as many lives as possible without fearing apprehension by law enforcement.  Those topics will be addressed at a later date in The Sanely Insane Blog.  Today, we honor the true master of killing. A man that possessed the foresight to plan and execute killings spanning decades without being captured or even suspected.  That involves a remarkably massive amount of skill and determination.

                                    MR. JEFFREY DAHMER

Also known as ‘The Milwaukee Monster’, Mr. Dahmer had a particular affinity for utilizing his victims well after he took their lives.  Jeffrey was more of a scientist, a trial-and-error sort of man than most other serial killers.  Perhaps that is why he stands out so much to me.  Not only did Jeffrey Dahmer murder seventeen males, but he also experimented on them, attempting to turn them into zombies or sex ‘slaves’ for his pursuit of never-ending pleasure.

Jeffrey Dahmer began his serial killing conquests in nineteen-seventy-eight, at the ripe old age of seventeen or eighteen.  Details are rather hard to nail down when the victims are skinned, consumed, and dissolved.  His desires were to create an endless army of sex ‘slaves’ by drilling holes into his victims’ heads and adding muriatic acid into their skull cavities.  The goal was to morph these human beings into zombies, zombies used for sexual pleasure.  One must respect Mr. Dahmer for at least not thrill killing, killing just for the sake of killing.  He had a Noble prize sort of ideology committed to his process.

                                       INSIDE THE APARTMENT

Using his extensive ‘extreme couponing’ style abilities, Jeffrey Dahmer employed his victims for pleasure, sustenance, and decorum.  While I do not condone or partake in homosexual activities, whatever floats your boat, Jeffrey enjoyed the company of men (or boys) for his heightened libido.  While sex is a natural desire, Mr. Dahmer took it a step further and carefully dissected his victims, ensuring he would be able to consume the more delectable pieces, either freshly harvested or carefully preserved inside of his freezer next to the bag of peas and some Captain Morgan’s Spiced Rum.  Finally, Dahmer used the unconsumed leftovers of his victims to decorate his Milwaukee apartment.  Skulls do make an excellent mantel piece.

                                                    TOOLS OF THE TRADE

In my personal opinion, Jeffrey Dahmer was a very misunderstood man that had a very rough upbringing.  He came from a broken home and was often left to entertain himself.  Without any parental supervision or guidance, Jeffrey was able to teach himself the difficult art of serial killing, human experimentation, interior design, and culinary delicacies.  Not too bad for a kid that taught himself everything, a true D.I.Y. type of guy.

Unlike other serial killers, most (not all) denied their killings fearing life in prison or the death penalty, Jeffrey spilled the beans immediately upon his capture.  He was a matter of fact type of person, which should be commended.  Sadly, Jeffrey Dahmer was murdered in prison shortly after being sentenced to multiple life terms in nineteen-ninety-four.  Before his murder in prison, Jeffrey Dahmer found the Lord and became a saved Christian.  One day, if you go to Heaven, you could very well be bunk mates with THE Jeffrey Dahmer on the other side of life.

This topic will be revisited incessantly throughout the life of this blog.  I have a massive amount of knowledge about serial killers, obtained from decades of admiration and an undying respect for those that take their hobbies deadly serious.

  1. Whoa! A brainwashing, stress-creating post. I somehow hate this person right now, and I just learned about him. About the admiration and learning about killers - I explain that with your books. After all, we writers need facts, inspiration...and you are in the horror department. :)

    1. When I wrote this, I was trying to be a little sarcastic. Obviously, I don't admire this guy seriously, but I wanted the reader to think I did. I just can't get on board with a serial killer, as cool as they may be. ;)
